The
Midwest Machine Shop Network was created by a Mechanical Designer
who has worked with machine shop owners for over ten years. The
experience gained through countless design projects has shown
a need for an accurate list of active machine shops in the Midwest.
When your mechanical design becomes ready for fabrication, the
quote process can become very frustrating. You need to have a
good selection of machine shops to review your project.
To help eliminate
this confusing stage of mechanical design, the Midwest Machine
Shop Network was created. The goal is to create a list of machine
shops who are actively seeking work, and to eventually allow engineers,
designers, and buyers to rate their experiences with the machine
shops listed here. Other useful features will be added in the
future. Until the list has grown to an effective size, we are
allowing machine shops to list themselves for free.
Why add your
shop to the list? As the list grows, engineers, designers, and
buyers will find your information and hopefully contact you about
work. The machine trade can be very cyclical in nature, and to
help get new customers, you need to get the word out that you
are looking for work. You may also find this resource helpful
if you routinely outsource work to other machine shops.
To qualify
a listing, a machine shop only needs to be located in the Midwest,
and be a provider of commercial or industrial machining services
of some type. A representitive of the shop needs to fill out our
submission form to be included in the list. The submission form
requests only contact information about your company, and you
have the option of listing your email address and company web
site.
Each submission
is reviewed for accuracy and then added to the list within 48
hours. If you would like to change or remove a listing, just submit
the form with the correct contact name and your listing will be
removed or updated. We will not share your email address if you
select "No" on the form. We will only use your email
to confirm that your shop has been added, removed, or revised
on the list.
The Add
Machine Shop form can also be used to submit any questions
you may have about this project, or click on the link to contact
